Get Ready for Summer: Free Health Screenings at Walmart Wellness Day

HealthNFit

There will soon be summer gatherings, camps, and vacations, and Walmart wants to help make sure that your health is a top focus at all of them.

Join Walmart on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. for Wellness Day. All around the country, pharmacists are offering free health tests to their patrons for conditions including blood pressure, glucose, cholesterol, tetanus, and shingles, in addition to reasonably priced vaccinations against these and other diseases. Additionally, a wide range of products, including vitamins and allergy treatment alternatives, will be available to customers.

Walmart Wellness Day provides information and tools to help families take charge of their health by promoting healthy living, seeking medical attention, and maintaining productive routines. Walmart Wellness Day activities will take place in almost 4,600 Walmart pharmacies nationwide on Saturday, May 18, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. local time. To make it even simpler for clients to get the particular services they want, a few businesses will provide vision examinations, in-store freebies, and product demonstrations for health.

The following health services are available at Walmart Wellness Day events, and they are handled by teams from authorized pharmacies and vision centers:

  • Free health screenings: blood pressure, body mass index, glucose, cholesterol, and eyesight (at some sites).
  • Resources for wellness and the chance to speak with pharmacists.
  • Covid, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, varicella (chicken pox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), hepatitis A and B, and other vaccines are reasonably priced.
Kevin Host, senior vice president of pharmacy at Walmart, said, "Our pharmacies are pillars in the communities they serve, and Wellness Day creates wonderful opportunities to deepen those connections while also offering impactful services like free screenings and affordable immunizations." "We'll keep developing and carrying out our plans through our vision centers and pharmacies to make sure we're doing everything we can to help people save money, live better, and live healthier this summer."

Walmart Wellness Days have been held by Walmart pharmacies since 2014, and over 5 million consumers have benefited from the free health checks. Since there is a dearth of medical professionals in the places where Walmart has more than 4,000 shops, Walmart is often the first choice for healthcare in these areas.
